I admit I’m feeling a bit of pressure.

It’s the first network email of the year, after being mostly offline for a couple of weeks, and there's this unspoken expectation (self-imposed, of course) that this should be a groundbreaking, career-defining email, to jump-start everyone's 2025 UN job search success.

Some magic trick that will ensure you'll land your dream role in record time, finally feel like your skills are being truly recognized, and finally stop agonizing about job applications and competency-based interviews.

Welcome to 2025.

A year when we'll continue to navigate the complex UN system, and advocate for ourselves – not just our cause, our employer, colleagues, and everyone else we show up for on the regular.

There is no magic trick. But by showing up for ourselves, we’ll make progress.
