A new resource just dropped, and honestly, it might be the best I’ve ever seen for understanding how the UN actually functions – not the political, high-level stuff, but the ins and outs of UN programmes, in countries, where most UN staff actually work.

The tagline says “What the UN is, what it does, and why it matters,” but it actually covers a lot of the much needed HOW it does things.

A few section titles to give you a taste:

Full disclosure - I haven’t read every word, but I’ve browsed through, and I'm impressed. This fills a real knowledge gap for those looking to join the UN.
