I had no plans to write today, but then I opened this week's newsletter from James Clear, the author of bestseller "Atomic Habits" who claims to write “the most wisdom per word of any newsletter on the web” and I immediately wanted to share this one line with you:

"Focus on what provides value to others, not what impresses others."

That's it, right there – what good application writing is about.

Writing from the perspective of what's in it for them? What's relevant to them? What can I contribute to the work and the mandate? What value do I bring to the team or the organization?
